Ladies (and gents), keep your wallets open, your keyboards crumb-free and your mice ready to click.

A reliable source at eLUXURY informed me that a new shipment of limited edition Louis Vuitton Stephen Sprouse Collection bags arrived just yesterday at their warehouse, meaning that today is the day to score. Bookmark this page and scan for new listings throughout the day.

Like the previous limited graffiti collection, this one will go off the shelves like hot Glühwein on a chilly German Winter night. If you are not fortunate to pick one up in your local LV boutique, get it online at the trusted source.

Who ever said that eLUXURY was dead? The merchandise will keep on rolling in and out until June 30th. Bet on it.

Louis Vuitton Stephen Sprouse leopard stole

Ladies, I have to tell you, I had a great weekend. I was lucky enough to get to meet about a dozen of our wonderful Atlanta-area (and beyond!) Purse Forum members this past Sunday, and I couldn’t ask for a group of nicer, more awesome handbag-loving ladies. We all had a wonderful lunch, and then a few of us ventured over to Saks for some shopping (or, in my case, drooling – I left everything but money for lunch at home to stave off temptation), and we hit the jackpot inside the Saks Louis Vuitton boutique.

The first rare treasure that I saw was the trend-setting Louis Vuitton Stephen Sprouse leopard print cashmere-silk stole. When I saw this online when it first came out, I couldn’t help but think, “Uh, it’s…just a scarf. Kind of a big scarf, but for $725, I’m going to need miles of scarf.” Well, sometimes, things just don’t show up as glorious online as they do in person, because this thing is beautiful. It’s much wider than the average pashmina, and it lit up my outfit of black empire-waist top and skinny jeans as soon as I wrapped it around my neck. It felt lush and luxurious, like I would happily wrap it around myself every single cold day of the year. Find a Louis Vuitton Product on sale

Jessica Simpson with Alexander McQueen Satchel and LV Dog Carrier

Jessica Simpson with an Alexander McQueen Purse and Louis Vuitton Dog Carrier

So we know how Jessica Simpson loves designer purses. And though we’ve already seen her sport the old-time Alexander McQueen Flapper Satchel and the Louis Vuitton Dog Carrier, it still feels good to see her with a new pretty blue dress, which somehow creates a cool and fresh look on her totality.

It was just recently when we’ve talked about her Alexander McQueen satchel, and this time, though the design of the bag didn’t match her rather plain outfit (unlike what we’ve seen her a few days back with a floral frock), at least the shade tells that it is versatile to be paired with any other colors of outfits.

And also, I think her totality created a classier and a more refined appeal because the too much petal-like and stud detailing on the bag is already striking to be paired with an equally striking dress.

So anyway, about the other bag… do we still need to talk about it? I mean, c’mon, we usually (if not always) see her with that and it seems like she never wants to be away from her dog even for some time. Isn’t that a lucky, spoiled dog? It’s a good thing that Jessica also wants her pet to be in-style, and that truly shows how stylish Jessica is.

An Obviously Tough Alexander McQueen Faithful Leather Glove Clutch

Alexander McQueen Faithful Leather Glove Clutch

It is very clear that this Alexander McQueen Faithful Leather Glove Clutch is for the rocker type fashionistas. Well, we can’t deny that most of his creations exude that kind of appeal, but there are some that only shows a hint of such. Seeing this particular clutch obviously shows Alexander McQueen’s main theme and you don’t even have to guess if this is intended to look classic or simply tough.

Most of his bags or even clutches come hefty in pricing and there are only a few that holds below $1,000 price tag and that includes this Faithful Leather Glove Clutch. This clutch retails for $895 and is certainly enough for something that is indeed tough yet chic looking and needless to say, very functional among rocker women.

This Alexander McQueen clutch measures about 12½ x 6½ x 1½ inches, plus it also has angled zippers on the fold-over flap, and opening the clutch would also show extra zipped pocket. It is made from distressed black leather, which already brings a hint of toughness to it; but what actually makes this even tougher is the snap closure glove design on the flap.

I’m not sure if you can slip your hand in it for a unique carrying option, but if it is intended to function as such, then this is without a doubt, exceptionally designed. But if not, this clutch is still fantastic anyway.

Chanel Cruise Collection 2010

Karl Lagerfeld leads his models down a Venice boardwalk to present Chanel Cruise 2009
After seeing a few shots from Chanel Cruise 2010, I couldn’t resist sharing some of the highlights with all of you PurseBloggers out there. This has to be one of the most strikingly beautiful runway shows I’ve ever seen, from the Venice Lido boardwalk setting to the 1920s throwback clothes. Karl Lagerfeld said that he chose this particular setting to debut this collection because Coco Chanel was a long-time fan of this particular Italian beach. Coco made yearly visits to this beach during the 1920s, making it particularly appropriate for this set of retro-glam resort wear and beautiful evening dresses. The boardwalk is only steps from the sea, the show began at sunset, and I’ve never found myself wanting to attend any fashion show so much in my entire life.designer Handbags

A Great Black Bag: Marc Jacobs Amber Corner Zip Tote

We are big Marc Jacobs fan-girls here at PurseBlog. But it has been a little while since I ran into a Marc Jacobs bag that I truly found myself wanting. Don’t get me wrong, there are many beautiful designs, but I like to see a bag that I don’t just want but can justify ‘needing’. This bag comes the closest to ‘needing’ that I have felt in a while from Marc.

A black tote is a staple piece for a handbag wardrobe and the Marc Jacobs Amber Corner Zip Tote should be considered as a potential option.

This bag was spotted in green on Cameron Diaz which helped put it on my radar. As far as black totes go, this bag has additions that help the bag stand out without going over-the-top. I am sure the leather itself is thick and smooshy, as Marc Jacobs leather tends to be. There is goldtone hardware and double top handles with rings.

What helps the bag stand out are the goldtone padlock on the front center of the bag along with side zippers. I really am finding myself drawn to this bag. Sure, it is nothing out of the ordinary, but for a simple black tote, it does have aspects that stand out. On the inside there is a zip and open pocket. Overall measurements are 13″H x 14″W x 6″D. If you like texture, you’ll love this Marc Jacobs bag

Normally when Marc Jacobs makes bags for his eponymous line, they’re a little bit more streamlined and subdued than his efforts on behalf of Louis Vuitton, but the bags that we’ve seen from him recently have been anything but simple. We’ve seen fur, sequins, metallics and exotic leather, all combined in various ways for maximum handbag impact.

Some people may tire of the complication, but I love it when designers mix materials. That also means that I love the Marc Jacobs 2010 Rockstar Clutch – it has all of the necessary elements to be a great statement bag that everyone will notice. Plus, this bag is a little bit more subdued than some of the fur-and-sequins bags we’ve seen from Jacobs lately, so it’s a good way to buy in to the look without committing to something slightly ridiculous.

Not only did Jacobs manage to mix a bunch of materials, colors and textures in this bag, but he managed to do it in a way that’s really visually appealing. The sapphire blue haircalf would have been beautiful on its own, but its juxtaposition with the grey and gold houndstooth leather only makes it more appealing. All three colors work together seamlessly, which is something that rarely happens when a bag mixes several shades and textures. Marc’s still got it, without a doubt.Buy through Net-a-Porter for $850.designer Handbags

Good things come in small packages: The Marc Jacobs Studded Python Single

One of my main beliefs about handbag design is that really intricate, busy complicated ideas work best in very small doses. That may seem counterintuitive, since usually the scale of the idea should match the scale of the canvas, but this little theory of mine has proven itself true again and again. The Marc Jacobs Studded Python Single and the similarly-patterned version of the Marc Jacobs Stam are only the latest example.

When I first saw this look on the much-larger Stam, I was totally disappointed. I love the combination of red and black for a lot of reasons, not least of which because it’s the color scheme of my alma mater (Go Dawgs!), and I’d love to have a football-appropriate bag from one of my favorite designers. On the Stam, however, the combination of stamped python, multiple colors, quilting and studs was way too much.

On the Single, all the the fussy elements are distilled down into a portion that’s just the right size for occasional consumption. I’ve always thought that this smaller version of the Single was the perfect size for a night out – it’ll hold my keys and phone without bulging, but it’s not big enough to look like I forgot to switch my bag before I left the house. When you combine that with all of the intricate elements and a color scheme that would be easy to wear with a lot of evening outfits, you’ve got a very special little bag indeed. The best part, though, is the same as with all the other Single bags – the somewhat reasonable price. Buy through Bergdorf Goodman for $595.louis vuitton bag

Marc Jacobs goes ladylike for fall

One thing that I’ve always appreciated about Marc Jacobs is the sheer breadth of aesthetic choices that can be contained within his eponymous line at any given time. His clothes and accessories range from the somewhat classic and conservative to the utterly wild, often in the span of a single season, and I suppose that this is the point where I should say “variety is the spice of life” and all that.

Fresh off the metallic parachute bags and foot-long fringe from last season, Jacobs has decided to make a 180-degree turn and go for something entirely different: retro, ladylike handbags. TheMarc Jacobs Gene Satchel in particular is strongly reminiscent of the accessories from the Louis Vuitton fall line, which is also under Jacobs’s stewardship. Is that a good thing? In this case, absolutely.

At one point in the not-so-distant past, I wasn’t a big believer in bicolor bags, but this one in particular is a great example of why my feelings have changed. The cream and greige colors compliment each other beautifully and the juxtaposition of the two shades helps bring out the richness in both, as do the differences in texture. Because of the relative neutrality of both shades, there are few outfits that would clash with the bag purely as a result of the use of more than one color, which is usually a concern that I have with bicolored bags. As it is, I have no concerns at all, only lust. Buy through Saks for $1195.replica handbags

Dior kicks it up a notch for Resort 2011

Sometimes in fashion, the phrase “ask and ye shall receive” holds true. I’m pleased to say that appears to be the case with my recent complaint about Dior’s somewhat tedious bag line – a few of the bags from the brand’s recently presented Resort 2011 line caught my attention.

For me, the clear standout of the line is this Dior Resort 2011 Tote, which doesn’t have an official name or price as of yet. Although the design is fairly simple, it manages to represent everything that a Dior bag should be – it’s feminine, Parisian and obviously designed by Dior.

The quilting on this bag is so soft and delicate that I wondered for a moment if my eyes were deceiving me and the bag wasn’t actually made of leather. It appears to be lambskin, however, and I can only imagine how soft this bag will be when it hits stores. The beautiful dove grey color only makes it better, and I even somehow like the sparkle of rhinestone-encrusted handle attachments. As a 24-year-old single girl, I would be happy to carry this bag, but I could see it on the arms of women from several generations. Well done, Dior – I hope this means there’s more to come.luxury bags
